Will Microsoft Create a Smartphone?
37-year journey focusing on software and hardware manufacturing rely on his partner, 'deflected' by Microsoft's own announcement of the existence of a tablet computer called Surface. Now a Wall Street analyst said that a strong player in the realm of these technologies will also be making its own smartphone.
The rumors were sticking out shortly after the release of Windows Phone software 8. Wall Street analyst who has long been 'stalking' Microsoft's journey is stuck on the issue.
"Our sources say that Microsoft could be working with contract manufacturers to develop their own handsets for Windows Phone 8," said Rick Sherlund.
Certainly, Microsoft is still reluctant to confirm the news that broke it. The spokesman said only that they have confidence in the hardware and partner together to bring focus to market Windows Phone 8 this year.
So far the software giant is working hard to put a good performance for Windows-based smartphones since the device was only getting 2% pie of global market share dominated by IOS and Android.
Microsoft has long been doing business in the manufacturing software used in the hardware of other companies, but the success of the iPhone and the iPad has proven that makes them (software and hardware-red) and integrate it lebiih will bring many benefits.
Microsoft's movement in the area of the phone actually makes sense, said another analyst. Sid Parakh, McAdams Wright Ragen analyst says Microsoft said that if the right mix of mobile phone itself, then it would be a blow to Nokia candidate of Windows software on their smart phones.
Not only Nokia needs to be vigilant, if the prediction proves true, then Microsoft would heat up the smartphone competition was completed, players such as Samsung Electronics, HTC Corp and Huawei is scheduled to release Windows mobile anyarnya this year.
In the past, Microsoft has been experimenting with a handset called Kin through its partnership with designer phones Danger. But in a matter of months, the device was withdrawn from the market, as quoted by Reuters on Saturday (23/06/2012).
