The news that Apple soon launch a mini-sized iPad tablet computer is getting stronger. Reports from leading media, Wall Street Journal, said that the iPad Mini went into production.
Reported by InformationWeek, Thursday (05/07/2012), the report says LG Display Co and Au Optronics Co. is a name that supplies parts mini iPad. According to corresponding source, Apple has asked both of them to get ready ahead of mass production.
Until recently, Apple released the iPad faithful to the big screen, precisely 9.7 inches. Some other players released a small tablet PC, such as Samsung or Google recently introduced the Nexus 7.
Also there is the tendency of vendors to make small tablets with cheap prices. Like the Kindle Fire and Nexus 7 from USD 199.
Some analysts say Apple will not make it as cheap iPad up. But the mini iPad is likely more affordable than the 9.7 inch version of the iPad.
iPad itself still dominate the tablet PC market. According to data from research firm IHS iSuppli, global market share iPad in 2011 and reached 62%.
