After the 'Like', Facebook will Have Button 'Want'

Facebook reportedly testing a new feature called the 'Want'. This button is similar to 'Like' is already there, but its function seems to be geared more for a product.

Excerpted from Inside Facebook, Saturday (06/30/2012), this information is known after one of the Facebook developer named Tom Waddington accidentally discovered the new key when searching via Javascript SDK (Software Development Kit) Facebook.

Given the public key is not listed in the row of social plugin developer site Facebook, Waddington expect these features to work on Open Graph object that has been marked as 'product.'

That is, the 'Want' is not just showing things like the user as in the 'Like', but also will be used to express the wishes of the users who click on it to buy or use a product or service.

Keys 'Want' is likely to further facilitate the utilized Facebook advertising purposes. During this time, the 'Like' is also used to mark the site, comments, photos or status updates are preferred.

But more and more users are also using the 'Like' to mark the brand or product they like. Now, with the 'Want', Facebook seems to want to allow users to actively demonstrate their desire for a product or service.

According to Inside Facebook, the 'Want' allows up to collect large amounts of data 'desire' to its users. This information would be used up in competition with Google in online advertising revenue dredge.
